PLO’s National Bureau for Defending the Land’s weekly report on the Israel’s illegal settlement activities in Palestine territories

The Palestinian Liberation organization’s ( PLO) Bureau for Defending the Lands and Resisting settlements said in its weekly report issued on Saturday that the Israeli occupation continues to seize more Palestinian lands, demolish Palestinian houses with the aim of imposing new facts on the ground that eliminate every hope for establishing an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.

The report said that throughout last week, the occupation authorities announced a plan to establish 150 new settlement units in the towns of Al-Aysaweyeh and Sha’fat in occupied Al-Quds.

The report added that the occupation went on committing crimes of ethnic cleansing and displacement against the Palestinians. Its forces demolished dozens of houses and facilities in Khirbet Humsa Al-Fouka area in northern Jordan Valley in the West Bank. The occupation forces, the report went on to say, razed wide areas of agricultural land in Deir Nizam town in Ramallah and Jbara village in Tulkarwm in order to establish new settlement outposts.

 According to the report, the occupation authorities demolished 40 shops in Jenin, two houses in Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood and Anata town in Al-Quds and four houses in the towns of Beit Awwa and Khilet Al-Gharbi in Al-Khalil city. They also delivered notifications about demolishing several houses as well as commercial and agricultural facilities in Al-Quds, Al-Khalil, Bethlehem and Nablus.

Moreover, the report said that the Israeli settlers continued to attack Palestinian towns and cities in the West Bank under the protection of the occupation forces.

According to the report, the Israeli settlers seized wide areas if Palestinian lands in several towns in the cities of Al-Khalil, Bethlehem and Salfit.  They also stormed the archeological areas in Sebestia, to the north of Nablus, and Khan Al-Laban, to the south of the city. In addition, the Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian houses and properties as well as the Greek Orthodox church in Al-Misrara area in downtown Al-Quds.

The report also said that a Palestinian farmer was martyred  when an Israeli settler opened fire at him while he was working in his land in Ras Karkour village in Ramallah.
