Plastic artists organize ‘Hope To Work’ Exhibition in the Damascus’ Contemporary Art Gallery

Plastic artists and teachers from the Directorate of Education in Damascus organized the ‘Hope for Work’ Art Exhibition at the Damascus’ Contemporary Art Gallery.

Artist Mowafak Makhoul, Director of theDamascus’ Contemporary Art Gallery, stated that plastic art should contribute more to the contents of the future and enhance its existence and constructive work.

Makhoul referred to the great role of art in building society, general artistic taste, patriotism, and developing the sensual and aesthetic taste of our children and our schools.

 

Makhoul said that the task of education and art teachers is to spread love and beauty through art.

Plastic artist Moataz Al-Omari, a teacher in educational centers, explained that he participated in three works in which the graphics deal with the topic and human relations.

Artist Ahmed Al-Khatib, a teacher at the Tharwa Art Center, explained that he participated in four oil works that represent the old neighborhoods of Damascus, which are full of life.

Artist Ruqayya Ali Mustafa mentioned that she presented an abstract painting that represents a case of a woman dancing, considering that this participation gave her more hope.
