Plastic Artist Osama Diab: Electronic exhibitions are a new way to present the message of Syrian art to the world
“Drama”, was the painting that artist Osama Diab participated with in the electronic Syrian Plastic Exhibition in Ukraine, relying on the expressive style that he adopts in his paintings based on the reduction of the most feminine human cases.
Regarding the exhibition, artist Diab said in a statement to SANA: “The idea of an electronic exhibition was necessary in light of the Corona pandemic that threatens the world, and many precautionary procedures have been imposed, including a ban on travel and displaying in art galleries”.
Diab described the online exhibition held by the Syrian community in Ukraine as a plastic art demonstration that gives an opportunity to be acquainted with contemporary Syrian plastic art through works by artists who have their presence in the Syrian plastic movement and in various art styles and schools.
Diab believes that the exhibition is a strong and serious beginning to present Syrian art worldwide in this new way and to continue conveying its important cultural and civilizational message to the whole world.
Talking about his painting, he said, “In this work I present the gray color with its various gradations and implications in a case that expresses the components of composition that includes exhausted and tired characters colored in harsh and sharp shapes, with harmonious chromatic representing the boldness and the identification of opposites”.
It is worth noting that the first Electronic Syrian Plastic Art exhibition in Ukraine is being held by the Syrian community in Ukraine with the aim of introducing the participating artists and their works, as well as linking the Syrian community to the culture of their homeland, Syria.
It is being held on the official website of the community and on its social media pages throughout the current month.
