Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that senior officials in Iran and Iraq have agreed to develop a comprehensive long-term strategic plan to develop relations between the two countries.
Pezeshkiansaid that the leaders of the two countries have a serious will to solve problems and raise the level of bilateral relations.
During his meeting with Faiq Zeidan, head of the Supreme Judicial Council in Iraq yesterday, Pezeshkian indicated that he was interested in visiting a friendly country before traveling to New York and said: “Accordingly, we have chosen Iraq, which is our second homeland.”
Regarding the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, Pezeshkian stressed that the crimes of the Zionist entity in Gaza cannot be justified by any standard.
Pezeshkianadded: “The Zionists are committing crimes against innocent people in Gaza in the most brutal ways, and if the people of Gaza want to defend themselves, they are accused of terrorism by the protectors of the Zionist entity.”
Pezeshkian explained that if the countries of the region cooperate, they can undermine the hegemony of the Western world and said: “Through political unity and economic cooperation, we can enhance prosperity, comfort and security in the region, and in this way we thwart the enemy’s plots.”
