Peskov: Washington cannot threaten China

Moscow, (ST) – Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov affirmed that China is the largest economy in the world and that Washington cannot speak to it in a threatening or blackmail tone.

Commenting on the statements of the US Treasury Department regarding the imposition of possible sanctions against China and interference in trade relations between Beijing and Moscow, Peskov said in a statement today, according to Sputnik: We know for certain that the Chinese do not like this, and we stand in solidarity with our Chinese comrades and consider such language inappropriate and unacceptable.” Absolutely.

Peskov stressed that China and Russia are sovereign countries and their relations are not directed against anyone and they seek to achieve one goal, which is to develop mutually beneficial cooperation and mutual respect.
