Peskov: It is too early to talk about a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine

Moscow (ST): Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that it is too early to talk about a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, as the grounds for a peaceful settlement are still not available yet.

Peskov said in a statement to TASS, commenting on possible negotiations with any of the representatives of the current Kiev authorities: “This is unlikely to happen because any negotiations with Russia are prohibited in Ukraine,”

Peskov stressed Russia’s refusal to freeze the conflict in Ukraine, saying “Russia only considers the possibility of carrying out the special military operation with the aim of ensuring its interests, and the goals set by Russia must be achieved, either through the special military operation or by other available means.”
