Moscow, (ST) – Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied reports of a final settlement of the issue of the transit of Russian goods to the Kaliningrad region. He stressed that the problem of the imposed restrictions had not yet been resolved.
Commenting on media reports on the EU-Russia agreement on the issue of crossing to Kaliningrad, TASS quoted Peskov as saying that, so far this situation has not been completed. He added that, we expect some progress, but so far we cannot say that this problem has been resolved.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova affirmed that, if the situation with regard to the transit of shipments does not stabilize in the coming days, Russia will take strict measures against Lithuania.
