People’s Assembly: The terrorist attack on the Military College in Homs is a heinous crime

Damascus (ST): The People’s Assembly condemned in the strongest terms the malicious and cowardly terrorist act that targeted the graduation ceremony of military college officer students in Homs.

The Council said in a statement that this terrorist attack is a heinous crime carried out by cheap, despicable, and cowardly terrorist hands, with unlimited support from the Zionist enemy, the treacherous American and Turkish occupation, and those in their orbit. The statement added that this crime is nothing but striking evidence of the hidden hatred towards the Syrian people in general and the army institution, especially after the heroes of the army were able to achieve one victory after another over the past years.

The statement called on all Arab, regional and international parliamentary unions and organizations and national councils and parliaments to denounce and condemn this attack based on their humanitarian, legal and moral responsibilities. It also called on the illegal American and Turkish occupation forces to immediately leave Syrian territory and hold them accountable for financing and supporting terrorist groups in their brutal crimes against our people, referring that they continue to steal their national wealth and resources in order to prolong their existence and achieve their vile interests at the expense of the blood and suffering of innocent Syrians.
