People’s Assembly: Martyrs’ Day glorifies the Syrians’ sacrifices in defense of the homeland

The People’s Assembly (PA) has affirmed that Martyrs Day glorifies the Syrians’ sacrifices  in defense of the soil of the homeland, and it is a bright point in the march of struggle in contemporary history.

In a statement on the occasion of the 107th Anniversary of the Martyrs’ Day, the PA stated that the Syrian people honorably and faithfully carried the message of their fathers and grandparents and fought the Ottoman occupation, the French colonizer and now the Zionist entity, affirming their love for their homeland and their belonging to its soil and their firm determination to uphold their constants principles.

In its statement, the PA said: “Today, more than 12 years after Syria was subjected to the most heinous global war, the subsequent unjust blockades and sanctions imposed on our people, we have been able to confront all of this with determination and ability, and we achieved victories inspired by the heroics of the Sixth of May, with full certainty of the inevitability of reaching the final victory.

The PA concluded its statement by emphasizing that the anniversary of the 6th of May (Martyrs’ Day) will remain a beacon that will enlighten the path of freedom-loving peoples and freedom fighters for generations and will be an incentive for offering more sacrifices in defense of the country’s pride and dignity.
