People’s Assembly: Corrective Movement gave Syria a pivotal Arab and regional role

Damascus- The Corrective Movement, led by the late leader Hafez al-Assad, gave Syria a pivotal Arab and regional role and status as an essential player in the region and a carrier of the nation’s concerns and just fateful issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian Issue, based on adherence to the foundations and firm pan-Arab principles and patriotism.

“It has laid the foundations and pillars of the state of law and institutions and established principles and rights and launched an urban rise and huge qualitative leaps in Political, economic, social, cultural, educational and and health domains,” the Assembly said in a statement on the 54th anniversary of the establishment of the Corrective Movement.

The Assembly added “with full strength and insight, and through consolidating and reinforcing strategic visions, internally and externally, President Bashar al-Assad continued that superior approach by launching the process of modernization and development to achieve greatness and elevating Syria and maintaining its distinguished position on the Arab regional and international arenas, and continue to promote comprehensive and sustainable development according to a developmental and modernization perspective.”
