People’s Assembly commemorates the 51st anniversary of October Liberation War

The People’s Assembly (PA) on Monday commemorated the 51st anniversary of October Liberation War.

The PA Speaker Hammoudah Sabbagh said, according to Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA)  that the great October liberation war, led by the late leader Hafez Al-Assad, embodied the spirit of heroism, sacrifice, and redemption that characterized the Syrian people, the main supporter of the army and the men of the national resistance in Lebanon and Palestine, who today write epics of heroism and immortality in the face of the Zionist occupation.

Sabbagh referred to the heinous massacres of the Zionist entity against the peoples of Lebanon and Palestine in blatant violation of all international norms and conventions and in clear violation of the most basic rules of human rights, international humanitarian law, the principles of the United Nations, and all relevant international legal rules, pointing out that the live scenes and images on screens Television is the best evidence of this crime and the systematic destruction of entire neighborhoods.

Later, members of the Assembly discussed a number of issues related to the citizen’s daily matters.
