People’s Assembly notified of twelve new applications to run for forthcoming presidential elections
The People’s Assembly was notified by the Supreme Constitutional Court that the Syrian citizens: Jihad Saleh Al-Shakheer, Anisa Bashir Hammoush, Samir Ahmad M’alla, Hussein Mohammad Jasem, Mohammad Serri Mohammad Nabeel Qannout, Fatimah Okla Al-Barku and Amal Mohammad Bashir Qaddour, Anwar Sajee’ Hassan, Adnan Anwar Shuja’, Shayesh Hussein Al-Khleif, Tahseen Fawzi Al-Mohammad and JalalAbdul Karim Ibrahim, have applied to run for presidential elections, raising the number of applications to 41, the PA Speaker Hammouda Al-Sabbagh said on Tuesday.
Applications of nomination for presidency will continue to be submitted to the Supreme Constitutional Court until April 28, 2021.
The forthcoming presidential elections will be held on May 26th for citizens inside Syria and on May 20th for Syrian citizens abroad.
