People’s Assembly highlights the army’s role in preserving security and independence of homeland

The People’s Assembly (Parliament) has affirmed that the brave Syrian Army is the main pillar in preserving the security, safety and independence of the homeland.

In a statement issued on Sunday on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the foundation of the Syrian Army, the parliament saluted the Syrian Army, which has managed to achieve great victories in the fiercest terrorist war known in contemporary history against the forces of evil, aggression and Takfiri terrorism.

The parliament pointed out that the previous facts and events that we lived through during the previous years and are living through today proved that Syria is not subject to threats nor to intimidation in order to dissuade it from its national stances and principles.

It reiterated moving forward in the path of achieving development and comprehensive revitalization in all fields to rebuild and reconstruct Syria with the efforts of the Syrian army’s heroes and in cooperation with all Syrian people and under the wise and courageous leadership of President Bashar Al-Assad.

The Central Leadership of the Ba’ath Arab Socialist Party also paid tribute to the souls of martyrs of the Syrian Arab Army, its wounded, and its heroes who achieved one victory after another, and who are heading towards the great victory.
