People of Hasaka Reject Washington-Backed Separatist Schemes, Support Syrian Arab Army

HASAKA, (ST)- People of the Syrian province of Hasaka have renewed their support for the Syrian Arab army in its war on terrorism and stressed that they are against the separatist schemes backed by the United States and world Zionism to divide Syria.

Thousands of Hasaka locals, who gathered on Thursday in the “National Forum for Confronting the US Separatist Project”, affirmed in a statement the necessity of national mobilization in the confrontation of the separatists schemes which came under names like federalism, non-centralism and self-rule. They reiterated that “the way to solution won’t be passed except through the Syrian state” and that any violation of the constitution means a violation of the Syrian people’s will.”

The statement also reiterated the need of the people of Hasaka to keep united behind their army and leadership in order to defeat invaders.

It called on members of the clans and tribes, who were recruited within the ranks of the so-called “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) militants, to abandon their separatist dreams, leave the militias and join the Syrian Arab army in defending the country’s unity.

The statement urged national Kurds to reactivate their role in blocking any scheme that targets Syria’s unity and to seek maintaining stability in their region.
