People of Golan Mark 33rd Anniversary of National Open Strike

Quneitra, (ST)_ On the 33rd anniversary of the national Open Strike by the Syrian Arab Citizens in the occupied Golan, Quneitra governorate organized on Saturday a festival to emphasize the rejection of the Israeli occupation and adherence to the Syrian identity.

Quneitra governor, Ahmad Sheikh Abdul Kader, stressed that occupied Golan will always be a part of Syrian territory, pointing out that people of occupied Golan proved their adherence to their identity.

He added that people of occupied Golan  are confident to end the occupation thanks to the determination of Syrian Arab Army and armed forces to liberate the occupied Syrian lands.

“The national open strike, which was staged by the people of occupied Golan on 14 February 1982, was a message to the whole world that they will not relinquish their rights and they are determined to restore all the occupied territories.” The governor said

On this occasion people of Golan issued a statement reiterating their deep attachment to their homeland and affirming that occupied Golan will return to Syria soon.

“The occupied Golan will return to the Syrian national sovereignty by the hands of the valiant Syrian Arab army.” the statement concluded.
