People of Aleppo Protest against US Troops’ Illegal Presence in Syria

ALEPPO, (ST)-Thousands of people from Aleppo province took to the streets to protest the Illegitimate presence of US troops in Syria.

Protesters, who gathered at Saadallah al-Jaberi square in the city of Aleppo, raised placards condemning the American terrorism and its affiliated terrorist groups and burnt the American flag, calling for the immediate withdrawal of the US forces from the entire Syrian territories and for complying with international laws and legitimacy.

They affirmed their adherence to Syria’s territorial integrity sovereignty and independent decision, reiterating their support for the Syrian Arab army’s battle to clean the entire Syrian territory from terrorists.

 Qaysar Khouri, one of the protesters, said “Syrian will stay fortified against enemies through the cohesion between “the people, the army and the leader”, stressing that the Syrian people won’t cede an inch of its land and will defend Syria’ unity and sovereignty.

“Our gathering here is a clear message from the Syrians in general and from the people of Aleppo, in particular, that they refuse the illegal US presence on the Syrian territory because it is a blatant aggression on our homeland and people and we will strongly resist it,” said Sheikh Hassan Abu Qous.

On her part, Laila Sharifa, another protestor, said the Syrian people with all its components, rejects the US intervention in their country and in the region, stressing that Syria today is stronger and more united in defense of its sovereignty.

Some other protestors affirmed that the United States is an aggressor country that backs terrorism and tries to dominate the world, but the Syrian people will confront  its division schemes against Syria in as strong determination as possible.
