People in the occupied Golan vow continuous struggle to foil the Israeli wind turbines project

People in the occupied Syrian Golan have renewed their rejection of the new Israeli settlement expansion project represented in building huge wind turbines on their farmlands in a blatant violation of international legitimacy resolutions.

During a rally held on Saturday in Marj Al-Ya’fouri area, located between the two occupied cities of Mas’adeh and Majdal Shams, the people of Golan affirmed that they will continue with their struggle against the occupation by all legitimate means to foil its settlement expansion scheme of building wind turbines on thousands of dunums of Syrian land. They reiterated adherence to their national belongingness, vowing to continue fighting as to liberate the occupied Golan whatever sacrifices this may cost.

Liberated Syrian prisoner Bishr Al-Maqt stressed in a statement to SANA that the Israeli wind  turbines project in the occupied Syrian Golan is doomed to failure as the people in Golan will not cede an inch of their land.

Sheikh Ali Abu Jabal, a Syrian citizen from Golan, said we will not allow the occupation to implement its schemes on our land whatever the sacrifices are.

The Israeli wind turbines project is one of the most dangerous colonial and Judaization schemes targeting the occupied Syrian Golan. It includes the seizure of more than 6 thousand dunums in three stages.  In the first stage, the occupation seized swathes of land in the villages of Ouyoun Al-Hajal, Al-Mansoura and Al-Thaljiat, whose residents were displaced, and built 42 turbines with 120 meter height in a blatant violation of all international laws and resolutions, including the Security Council Resolution  No. 497, which stresses that all the occupation’s procedures in the occupied Golan are null and void and of no legal effect.
