People in occupied Syrian Golan celebrate the 49th anniversary of liberating Quneitra city from Israeli occupation

Just as the late leader Hafez Al-Assad raised the Syrian flag in the sky of Quneitra after its liberation from the Israeli occupation, President Bashar Al-Assad will also hoist the Syrian flag in the sky of Golan, people in the occupied Syrian Golan stressed on Monday while celebrating the 49th anniversary of liberating the city of Quneitea.

On June 26th 1974, the Late leader Hafez Al-Assad hoisted the Syrian flag in the liberated city of Quneitra, crowning the sacrifices of the Syrian army and people in the October War of Liberation.

On this occasion, people in occupied Golan affirmed their steadfastness in confronting the repressive and arbitrary acts of the Israeli occupation against them, stressing their continuous adherence to their Syrian Arab identity, and their confidence in restoring every inch of the occupied Golan to the homeland after defeating the Israeli occupation.

The anniversary comes this year, while people in occupied Syrian Golan are facing the Zionist occupation which is trying to seize thousands of dunums of agricultural lands in order to build wind turbines on them under the pretext of generating electricity from wind energy, but their real goal is to steal these lands.

Many citizens in the occupied Golan told SANA reporter that after the great victories over terrorists in different parts of Syria, the Syrian flag will be raised soon over the entire Golan, asserting their adherence to the Syrian Arab identity and their belonging to the Syrian homeland.
