Pedersen welcomes the agreement to integrate SDF into Syrian state institutions
UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen welcomed the agreement to integrate the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into the Syrian state institutions.
He expressed his hope that this agreement will support a broader, more credible, and more inclusive political transition process.
Pedersen called on major international actors, including the United States, Turkey, and regional partners, to support Syrians through a nationwide ceasefire and ensure genuine solutions that consolidate peace and stability in northeastern Syria.
