Moscow (ST) – Secretary of Russia’s National Security Council Nikolai Patrushev affirmed that the United States is forcing German leaders “to accept the version of the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage that benefits the American authorities,” indicating that any cooperation between Moscow and Berlin disturbs the US.
Patrushev said in a statement to the Russian newspaper “Argumenti e Facti”, reported by Novosti Agency, that Germany worked to develop relations with Russia, but the close economic cooperation between the two countries has never suited Washington and London.
He said: “It has long been clear that the modern German state is not independent, with Washington imposing its economic and environmental policies on Berlin and maintaining a 35,000-strong military contingent in the country”.
According to Patrushev, the White House had for many years controlled the German Chancellor Anguilla Merkel, and today is forcing the current German leadership to submit to the new version of the “Nord Stream” bombing. He stressed that the US and UK have special forces capable of carrying out such sabotage, adding: “It is no secret that special mission units with the appropriate equipment and training are dedicated to carrying out such missions, and that this is done only with the approval and support of the country that dictates the main agenda in NATO”.
Patrushev affirmed that Russia insists on its position to conduct a transparent international investigation regarding this terrorist act, to find out the truth about who planned and executed it.
The American New York Times, the German Zeit and the British Times published reports about the bombing of the Nord Stream line, talking about a pro-Ukrainian group or Ukrainians behind the bombing, but indicated that there was no evidence that these persons had cooperated with or received orders from the Ukrainian authorities.
