Moscow (ST): The Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, confirmed that the terrorist organizations present in some Syrian and Iraqi lands have weakened and decreased their activity, while they began to be active in other directions and countries.

Patrushev said at a meeting of the secretaries of the security councils of the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, that “despite the great weakness that international terrorist organizations suffer from in Iraq and Syria, they are changing their tactics and expanding their activity in new directions, as we are witnessing a high level of terrorist activity in the regions of southern Asia, the African continent and the Middle East, which account for 93 percent of all terrorist manifestations in the world.

Patrushev added that the countries most affected by terrorism among the members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization are India and Pakistan.
