Patriarch Yonan expresses his hope for the return of security and stability to Syria

The Syriac Antiochian Patriarch Mar Ignatius Joseph III Yonan has expressed his hope for the return of security and stability to all Syrian lands in the near future.

During the official Pontifical Mass on the occasion of St. Ephrem the Syrian on March 1, Patriarch Yonan said that Syria is still going through painful and difficult circumstances.

He called on the Syrian people to strengthen their national cooperation to restore security and stability to their homeland and rebuild what was destroyed by terrorism.

  Patriarch Yonan denounced the interference of some countries, particularly the United States, in the internal affairs of the countries of the region.

Patriarch Jonah prayed to God Almighty to achieve security and peace in Iraq and Lebanon.
