Beirut, (ST) – Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and all East John X Yazigi called for prayers for the return of security and stability to all Syrian lands.
The Patriarch, in his Christmas message, said that “on this glorious occasion we pray for the realization of peace in Syria, for stability to Lebanon and to every country and spot in this Eastern part of the world, which is suffering from violence and terrorism.”
He also called for the inalienable rights of the Palestinian People, criticizing the silence of the international Community about the crimes against Palestinians by the Israeli occupation.
Patriarch Yazji added that, “we remember our two brothers, Archbishop of Aleppo, Youhanna Ibrahim and Paul Yazji, who have been kidnapped since April 2013, and pray for their release and return, with every kidnapped and missing person.”
