Patriarch Rahi Renews Call on International Community to Help Displaced Syrians Return Home

BEIRUT, (ST)- Maronite Patriarch Mor Bechara Boutros al-Rahi has renewed his call on the international community to help the displaced Syrians return to their homeland.

In a statement on Monday, Patriarch al-Rahi said “the countries that are directly concerned in putting an end to the state of instability, wars, displacement and cultural and material destruction in some states are not interested in ending the crises in these countries,” pointing out that these states have their own interest as well as own political and economic aspirations which have nothing to do with human values.

 Last April, al-Rahi affirmed that some international parties don’t want the displaced Syrians to return home in order to serve their political interests.
