Patriarch Neophyte: “We hope that security and stability will prevail soon in Syria”

Patriarch Neophyte of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church has expressed hope that security and stability will prevail soon in Syria and all countries of the world.

During his meeting with the Syrian Charge de Affairs in Sofia Oras Mahmoud, Patriarch Neophyte expressed his deep sorrow and sadness over the victims of the earthquake that his Syria last February, affirming his support for the Syrian people in facing this ordeal.

For her part, Mahmoud confirmed the good relations between the peoples of Syria and Bulgaria, pointing out that the Bulgarian people have expressed solidarity with the victims of the earthquake.

She thanked the Bulgarian Orthodox Church for supporting the Syrian people through providing humanitarian assistance to the quake-affected citizens, hoping that the cooperation relations between the peoples of the two countries will be enhanced continuously.
