Patriarch Laham: Success of Geneva 2 Serves Arab Peace, Security

 Beirut,(ST)_ Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for Melkite Catholics , Gregory III Laham called on  Islamic  spiritual leaders to  advocate  the success of the international conference on Syria, ” Geneva 2 ” stressing that the  success  of the  conference will be for the  benefit , security , and peace of all Arab countries .
A  statement issued by the Information Office of the  Catholic Patriarchate yesterday said that the Patriarch extended an  appeal for peace to  Islamic spiritual scholars  from the center of World Council of Churches in Geneva,  ” to launch a  clear Christian, Islamic  and humanly appeal  to the whole world , especially to individuals and nations taking part  in the Geneva conference 2 in order to contribute to the success of this conference and to end the cycle of violence , murder and destruction in Syria . “
“Maintaining  solidarity of  Christian and Muslim  clergies stems from holy  faith , which will have  a significant impact on the participants in the conference and  on Arab  citizens so as to  help build trust and love among  citizens and the exclusion of the  growing feelings of discord , disharmony and hatred among  the people of the one nation ,  ” the message emphasized.
