“We pray for all Christians in Syria, Iraq, Palestine and Egypt, who had begun the process of declaration of the gospel of salvation from the reign of Christ to the present day,and we remember them in our prayers as they suffer war, uprooting or expulsion from their homes “, the patriarch added.

He indicated to what Christians have suffered of recent displacement and harassment acts, as they live, ” dark and difficult times of wars, conflicts, destruction, killing and uprooting,” calling on Christians to “carry the gospel of brotherhood based on peace and coexistence with all peoples, and tolerance and openness with the other, and justice, forgiveness and reconciliation.”

He called for the stability of Lebanon and the election of a Lebanese President noting that “we pray for Lebanon’s stability and to elect a president for Lebanon in order to eliminate all crises in our lives.”
