Parties Law Ensures Political Pluralism : Minister

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Chaired by Minister of the Interior Muhammad al-Shaar, the  Parties Affairs Committee on Sunday met with members of the  political bureaus of the new parties formed under the law of parties No. 100 for year “2011”.

During the Committee  meeting with the Political Bureau of the Democratic Vanguard Party, the Minister  said the licensed parties work within the law of parties to serve  the country ‘s  interests and  raise  awareness nationally, politically, economically and socially for the advancement of society.

 He continued  that parties law falls in the course of  reforms approved by President Bashar al-Assad , embarked on the principle of political pluralism as a base  for political action within an integrated national project   to build a solid Syria, pointing out that the main objective of the law of parties is to activate the political, intellectual  life and preparing cadres able to contribute to nation-building and support it with political , economic and social development  skills of   genuine contribution to development and progress.

For their part, members of the Political Bureau of the Democratic Vanguard Party expressed  appreciation for the Parties Affairs Committee ‘s efforts to enhance sustainability of the  political parties .

However,  the  democratic vanguard party  was licensed under the Political Parties Law No. 100 of 2011.
