Participants in the ITU Forum Urge Establishing World Trade Union Front against Terrorism

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Participants in the International Trade Union (ITU) Forum for Solidarity with the Syrian workers and people against terrorism, sanctions and imperialist interference have called for establishing a world trade union front in the confrontation of terrorism and wars and for widening participation in this front to involve all anti-imperialism schemes forces.

 During the first session of the forum’s second day, the participants stressed the need to expel all who belong to the terrorist takfiri organizations or offend the Arab armies, pointing out the Arab trade union organizations and the world freedom-fighting powers should be in the frontline in the fight for liberation and against foreign intervention.

They reiterated Arab unity and adherence to Palestine and the Palestinian people’s right to return to their homeland. They asserted their rejection to recognize the racial Zionist entity and stressed the legitimate right of the Lebanese army and resistance in confronting the Israeli aggression and protect Lebanon’s sovereignty and resources.

The forum is due to discuss mechanisms of enhancing the solidarity of the international trade unions with just causes in addition to the issue of Takfiri terrorism and the phenomenon of recruiting children and human trafficking.

More than 250 union figures and representatives of 100 Arab and international union organizations from 29 Arab and foreign countries are taking part in the conference.
