Participants in student and youth forum call for common Arab action against normalization with the Zionist enemy
DAMASCUS, (ST)- The National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS) on Friday opened an online Arab student and youth forum entitled “The Arab National Project and Resisting Normalization with the Zionist Enemy ”.
Student and youth leaderships from 12 Arab countries are taking part in the two-day forum.
The event aims at creating an association of Arab students and youths in order to revive the Arab national project and direct Arab efforts towards this project and towards rejecting normalization with the Zionist enemy through presenting the visions of Arab youth figures, who are active and influential in their societies.
Dareen Suleiman, head of the NUSS, said in a statement that meetings and dialogue with Arab youth is very important to reach a common ground that contributes to reviving Arabism and the national resistance spirit in the young generation.
She added “today, Syria is paying dearly in defense of just Arab causes and in support of resistance”.
In their presentations, participants in the forum stressed the need to establish an association that incubates common Arab action and that starts from Syria as the Arab youth trust Syria’s key role in reviving and enhancing Arab nationalism through drawing up effective strategies that serve this goal.
Dr. Ibrahim Alloush, Professor of Economics at Damascus University said that normalization with the Zionist enemy poses a threat to national Arab security which has been threatened by different means, including by the takfiri terrorism that is still hitting Syria.
Ghassan al-Sa’di, a participant from Palestine, saluted the steadfastness of the Syrian people and all the parties that supported Syria in its war on terrorism and aggression. He highly appreciated all the honest stances that supported just Arab causes.
From Jordan, the participant Ibrahim al-Battoush said that resisting normalization is the duty of every Arab citizen that should be done by every available means.
