Participants in Sila Exhibition: The exhibition proves the strength of the Syrian industrialist and high quality products
Damascus (ST): Participants in the Sila International Shoes and Leather Exhibition (autumn-winter) in its 16th session, held on the new fairgrounds in Damascus, said that the exhibition demonstrated the strength of the Syrian industry and the high quality of its competitive product in the internal and external markets, and that the Syrian industry is continuing to regain its glory despite all the circumstances.
The exhibition, in which 60 local and Arab companies participate, is held by the Arab Federation for Leather Industries and organized by Mashhadani International Exhibitions and Conferences Group in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry. It displays the latest models of leather clothing, shoes, bags and belts of various types, sizes, components and accessories, in addition to models of raw, finished and semi-finished leather, and machines, especially for leather industries, production supplies and sewing equipment.
In a statement to a news correspondent, Josephine al-Hindi from the General Tanning Company underlined the importance of continuous participation in all exhibitions to introduce the company and its products, which include models of cow, sheep and goat skins at various stages of their manufacturing up to the final product. She said: “This is our largest participation in the exhibition in terms of the number of products and their quantities, which confirms the strength of the public sector, its ability to compete with its products, and its keenness on everything new in the leather industry.”
For her part, Ikmal Salem from the General Company for Shoe Manufacturing stated that the exhibition will enable them to further promote the products of the company’s factories located in Misyaf, Al-Nabek, Sweida and Daraa, in addition to providing the opportunity for all public and private companies to sign contracts and agreements that enhance trade exchange internally and externally and contribute to the development of the national economy.
For his part, General Manager of Al-Shaddad Shoe Manufacturing Company, Ali Haider, said: “This is our fifth participation in the Sila exhibition, which represents an opportunity for us and other companies to promote our various shoe products, in addition to introducing more to the modern technology that we have introduced and are currently adopting in our work, which is represented by a modern scanner device.” The exhibition also includes a pavilion under the name of the global initiative to purchase Syrian products.
