Damascus,(ST) – During the three- day of the International Exhibition for the Services of Companies and Businessmen “Servex 2017”, Syrian and Arab companies in the various economic and media sectors of banks, consulting companies, customs clearance, aviation, media sites and institutions have proved the strength of the Syrian economy and the ability to return to promote its products and activities and meet the needs of businessmen, traders and industrialists which contribute to the development of the national economy. Some 60 companies took part in the event which concluded its activities on Tuesday.
The exhibition, which was organized by the Mashhadani International Group for Exhibitions and Conferences at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus, attracted a large number of businessmen in various fields to sign agreements and contracts in the fields of informatics, exchange, and tourism and media investment.
The exhibition included the participation of the public sector institutions. Director of the Investors Services Center at the Ministry of Tourism, Eng. Walid Zuzou, said in a statement to local press that in light of the recovery of the general situation in Syria and the return of security and stability to many areas, the ministry has prepared many investment sites and studies for offering tourism investment. “The exhibition, he added, represented an important opportunity to present these sites to businessmen and inform them of the facilities and benefits offered by the ministry to investors.”
While the exhibition attracted some Arab companies that participated for the first time during the crisis as companies specialized in the field of informatics coming from Kuwait and other communications companies from the UAE as well as the Arab economic group coming from Egypt and the Iranian company ‘Syamco” for the automotive industry.
According to journalist Heba Noweilati, each year, the number of investors wishing to come to Syria increases and the number of investment opportunities in Syria is increasing. The media, she added, must participate in all economic activities not only as a cover but as exhibitors for media services that can be offered in the economic sector.
Such integrated steps and intensive exhibitions held in Damascus confirm the insistence of the Syrian economy to promote not only at the local level, but also in the external markets to keep the steadfastness of the Syrian industrialist, trader and craftsman in the face of all the challenges, pressures and economic blockade.
