Participants in “ Chem Expo ” 2024 stress the importance of specialized exhibitions to advance and promote national industries

Damascus (ST)- Participants in the 4th Syrian International Chemical Industries Exhibition “ChemExpo 2024” stressed the importance of specialized exhibitions to advance national industries and promote their high-quality products and their ability to compete in local and foreign markets.

Chemist Rana Naasani, General Manager of the General Company for the Manufacture of Chemical Detergents (SAR), explained the importance of participating in the exhibition, as the company has begun in recent years to produce new types such as liquid, regular and medical soaps, polishes, floor fresheners and shampoo. Participation proves their presence in the markets, which constitutes a basic pillar of the economy.

General Manager of the Arab Medical Company “Thameco”, Dr. Khaldoun Harbah, confirmed the company’s keenness to participate in the exhibition. The company was affected by the terrorist war imposed on Syria during the past years, as it began producing new types such as heart and blood pressure medications, muscle relaxants, diuretics, and antacids according to the Syrian pharmacopoeia and specifications.

Head of the Textile Chemistry Department at the Technical Institute for Textile Industries, Yael Ahmed, pointed out that they present one of the educational sides of the institute, which is the Textile Chemistry specialization, in which students learn about dyeing, printing, and processing of textile fabrics before and after dyeing.

Salam Azzam, representative of the Healthy Alternative Center for Natural Products, also explained that they are participating in the exhibition with products extracted from safe natural materials that are manufactured at home or in small workshops based on simple raw materials that help alleviate some general skin problems.

The exhibition activities continue until Wednesday evening, May 8th, 2024.
