Participants at Arab Student and Youth Forum confirm rejection of normalization and adherence to resistance to regain usurped rights
At the conclusion of the Arab Student and Youth Forum, organized remotely by the National Union of Syrian Students over two days, the participants affirmed their rejection and condemnation of all forms of normalization with the Zionist enemy and adherence to resistance as a basic and decisive option to restore all Arab rights usurped by the Zionist enemy.
The participants also affirmed their support to Syria, “the incubator of Arab national action in its war against terrorism and in confronting coercive measures and the unjust Western blockade,” as well as their support to Yemen, Libya and Iraq in their war against terrorism and its supporters.
The participants saluted the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army who thwarted all conspiratorial schemes with their steadfastness and courage, underlining the necessity of activating the Arab national project and focus on students and youth in laying down future basis for a truly promising joint Arab action.
The participants stressed that the Palestinian issue is the central Arab issue, highlighting the approach of resistance which is based on the historic Arab right to the land of Palestine, the right of the Palestinian people to return, the release of all prisoners and detainees from the occupation prisons and the establishment of the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The participants suggested holding Arab student and youth forums on a regular basis, activating meaningful and constructive dialogue, creating clubs for Arab national thought at the university level in the Arab world, and forming student and youth committees specialized in programs to combat normalization with the Zionist enemy.
The participants called for a mechanism to confront attempts to falsify awareness among young people and confront cultural and intellectual invasion.
The participants also called for the establishment of an Arab national student and youth incubator to oppose Zionism, confront normalization and raise popular awareness to its dangers and forms, hold unified activities at the same time in all Arab arenas, and establish a research center for the forum to study Arab society issues, combat normalization, and translate what is published by the Zionist enemy press.
The meeting agreed that this forum would be the overall umbrella for Arab students and youth’s ideas and aspirations in shaping the future and to be named as the “Arab National Student and Youth Forum”. The meeting also agreed that the National Union of Syrian Students would be head of the forum and that a special mechanism for it would be set up at the level of Arab countries.
The forum was launched on Saturday with the participation of Arab student and youth leaders from 12 countries under the title “The Arab National Project and Opposing Normalization with the Zionist Enemy.”
