Parliament: The battle of Maysaloun will remain immortal in the memory of generations

On the occasion of the 102nd  anniversary of the glorious battle of Maysaloun, the People’s Assembly [parliament] issued on Saturday a statement affirming that the Syrian people are more determined than ever to confront the forces of evil, aggression and terrorism.

“On that day, the hero Youssef Al-Azma and his comrades confronted the French colonial army led by General Gouraud, which included a large number of men and heavy and modern weapons … in that battle, Al-Azma nd many of his comrades martyred, leaving a page of glory in the history of modern Syria,” the statement said. .

It affirmed the inevitability of victory in the face of all the invaders and conspirators against Syria with the steadfastness and sacrifices of its people, army and leadership, indicating that the memory of the Maysaloun battle will remain immortal in the memory of generations and an incentive for the free, honorable and fighters everywhere.
