The US and its allies now have either to wait the sound of the next explosion to be carried out by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria [ISIS] in the center of their abodes or to adopt serious steps to counter terrorism.
In just a month ISIS terrorists carried out attacks in Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey and France besides the daily terror attacks carried out by the same terrorist organization [ISIS, or IS, or ISIL] in Syria and Iraq.
The Washington post newspaper reported yesterday that a video released by an IS sub-group appears to show militants in Iraq praising the Paris shooting and warning that a similar attack could take place in Washington.
“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,” a man identified as ‘Al Kara the Iraqi’ said in the video.
A different man identified as ‘Al Ghareeb the Algerian’ also said that European nations should expect similar attacks.
“I say to the European countries that we are coming- coming with booby traps and explosives, coming with explosive belts and [gun] silencers and you will be unable to stop us because today we are much stronger than before,” he said.
The European countries that have supported ISIS terrorists plus other terror groups in Syria and Iraq over the past years are now paying the price for their shortsighted stances towards what is going on in the Middle East region.
40 countries including G20 members support ISIS
Repeatedly, Syria has warned that terrorism will spread all over the world, if the United Nations Security Council does not press the countries that support and finance terrorism to stop doing that.
The financing of the ISIS units comes from 40 countries, including some G20 members, the Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters following the G20 summit.
He underscored the need for serving the means of financing terrorism and cooperating with Syrian army and government to defeat ISIS terrorists.
Lack of seriousness
Sami Klib, a Lebanese Presenter in al-Mayadeen TV channel wondered how the US and its allies can defeat ISIS in Syria and Iraq without cooperation with the Syrian and Iraqi armies on the ground.
The US-led air strikes against ISIS in Syria and Iraq have led to the spread of the terror organization in the two countries, according to world media reports, which clarified that the US-led warplanes dropped arms and weapons to ISIS terrorists.
Since 2014, the US-led coalition against ISIS terrorists has conducted more than 6.000 sorties, according to the Pentagon. But it failed to stop the spread of the extremist organization [ISIS] due to the lack of seriousness in war against terrorism.
The former deputy director of the CIA Michael Morelltold CBs on Sunday that Obama’s ISIS strategy has failed. “Fighting ISIS with the Syrian army and support from the U.S.-led coalition and Russia may give us the best result,” he asserts.
