Palestinians rally in Tulkarm demanding international intervention to save the lives of the Palestinian prisoners in occupation jails

Dozens of Palestinians on Tuesday rallied in front of the Red Cross Office in the West Bank city of Tulkarm to call on the international community and human rights organizations to immediately interfere as to save the lives of the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation jails.

WAFA news agency reported that participants in this weekly rally affirmed the need to continue supporting the prisoners in the light of the deliberate medical negligence and the savage practices of the occupation authorities towards them.

The participants sent a message of support and solidarity to Palestinian prisoner, Hisham Abu Hawwash, who has been on hunger strike for 135 days and whose life is in danger due to his deteriorating health condition. They called on the international community to immediately interfere as to save Abu Hawwash’s life and pressure the occupation to release him.

Around 5000 Palestinian prisoners are held inside the Israeli occupation jails within very critical conditions. 600 of these prisoners are ill and need urgent medical treatment.
