Tens of Palestinians on Saturday took part in a protest in Wadi Al-Rababa neighborhood in Silwan town, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, to express their rejection of the Israeli occupation’s settlement expansion plan in occupied Al-Quds. The protest was called for by the committees for defending Silwan town and Wadi Al-Rababa neighborhood.
WAFA News Agency reported that tens of demonstrators from Al-Quds as well as many supporters stressed their rejection of the occupation’s policy of displacement, house demolition, and land seizure.
The demonstrators urged the international community to assume its responsibilities and pressure the occupation to put an end to its crimes and Judaization schemes which amount to war crimes, calling for providing international protection for the Palestinian people.
The town of Silwan has been a constant target of the occupation’s violations with the purpose of implementing its Judaization plan. The occupation forces demolished several Palestinian houses, displaced many Palestinians and seized their lands.
