Tens of Palestinians on Saturday took part in a sit-in staged in downtown the West Bank city of Ramallah to demand releasing the bodies of the martyrs still held by the Israeli occupation in a blatant violation of humanitarian principles and international conventions.
WAFA News Agency reported that the protestors called on all freedom-loving peoples and the law institutions to assume their role and pressure the occupation to hand over the withheld bodies of the martyrs, stressing that more protests and sit-in activities will be held until the bodies are restored.
Farah Ereikat, sister of a martyr, whose body is still held by the occupation since 2020, said that the Israeli occupation went far in torturing the families of the martyrs by withholding the bodies of their sons amid the deadly silence of the international community that encourages the occupation to commit more crimes and violations against the Palestinian prisoners without any accountability.
Two days ago, dozens of Palestinians staged a sit-in in Kan Younis calling for the release of the bodies of the martyrs held by the occupation in a blatant disregard for the international law and human rights.
