Palestinian resistance: U.S.’s approval of new arms sale to the Israeli occupation confirms its actual participation in the war of genocide in Gaza

The Palestinian resistance on Saturday said that the United States’ approval of supplying the Israeli occupation with more weapons confirms its practical participation in the war of genocide waged by the Israeli entity on the people in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

In a statement on Saturday, the resistance said that the US administration’s approval of selling heavy artillery ammunition to the Zionist occupation, in the light of the genocide war it is waging on Gaza, and the affirmation by the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken of the need to urgently supply the Israeli entity with the artillery shells without the approval of the congress, is an actual confirmation of the US full sponsorship of this criminal war and of Joe Biden administration’s support for the massacres and violations committed by the occupation, including the killing of children and civilians, forced displacement, and the destruction of all aspects of life in Gaza Strip.

The resistance called on all countries of the world, which, at the UN General Assembly meeting, expressed their support for stopping the Israeli fascist aggression on Gaza Strip, to uncover and confront the criminal US policies and to support the Palestinian people’s right to freedom and self determination.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken approved the sale of 155 mm artillery shells and related equipment to “Israel” by invoking what he called an emergency authority that bypasses the standard congressional review for arms sales, the Biden administration said on Friday, according to the “Washington Post”.

The $147.5 million sale comes as Israel steps up its intense bombing campaign in Gaza Strip.
