Palestinian resistance: The occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people will backfire

Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – The Palestinian resistance condemned the assassination committed by the Israeli occupation against the prisoner Abdul Rahman Al-Bahsh, stressing that these crimes will return backfire.

The resistance stated today: “A new assassination crime has been  committed by the Nazi occupation authorities against our prisoners with the martyrdom of the heroic prisoner Abdul Rahman Al-Bahsh (23 years old) in Megiddo prison. This comes with the news about cases of field executions, brutal torture, and inhuman conditions to which our prisoners from Gaza are exposed.”

“This is the 7th death penalty against our prisoners from the West Bank since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle, amid the silence of international institutions concerned with human rights and prisoners of war”, the resistance continued.

The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club announced the martyrdom of the prisoner Al-Bahash, who has been detained since May 2022, bringing the number of captive martyrs in the occupation prisons since the start of the aggression to seven.

They indicated that all the testimonies provided by prisoners who were released in the past period confirm that torture was the reason for the martyrdom of the prisoners.

They indicated that all international powers that continue to support the occupation in its aggression on the Palestinian people bear responsibility for the crimes of the occupation.

The Authority and the Club called on the UN, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and all international human rights institutions to restore their necessary and required role to exert pressure to stop the unprecedented crimes of the occupation against the prisoners in its detention centers.

With the martyrdom of Abdul Rahman Al-Bahsh, the number of martyrs of the captive movement since 1967 has risen to 244 martyrs, including 18 whose bodies the occupation is still holding.
