The Palestinian resistance has killed and injured today dozens of Israeli occupation soldiers during a pre-arranged ambush east of Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip.

The resistance made the following statement today: Our fighters ambushed an Israeli army mechanized infantry battalion, consisting of 12 military vehicles and a truck loaded with soldiers, east of Jabalia. Immediately after the force arrived at the location, a Shawaaz bomb was detonated in the truck loaded with soldiers, a thunder bomb was detonated in a Hummer military vehicle, and another vehicle was targeted with a tandem shell. Two Merkava tanks were also targeted with a tandem shell and a Shawaaz bomb after they arrived with the force to the location.

The resistance added: The fighters then advanced towards the ambush area, and eliminated the remaining soldiers from zero distance with light weapons. They also targeted a number of soldiers who fled the location with an anti-personnel bomb, killing and wounding them.

The resistance indicated that it targeted the Israeli enemy forces’ gatherings east of Jabalia with mortar shells.

In western Jabalia, the resistance confirmed that it killed and injured members of the enemy force after engaging them at zero distance, and destroyed a Merkava tank with a highly explosive device in the Zahraa neighborhood. A second tank of the same type was also destroyed in the nearby area with an explosive device.
