Palestinian Resistance: and the international community is required to stop the occupation’s crimes against Workers

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian resistance affirmed that Palestinian workers are subjected to the worst types of abuse, torture, siege and deprivation of their most basic rights, especially in light of the war of extermination waged by the Israeli occupation. These practices  call for action by the international community to pressure  the occupation to stop its  crimes .

The resistance on Wednesday said in a statement: The world’s celebration of International Workers’ Day is an important occasion to highlight the suffering of Palestinian workers inside and outside occupied Palestine as a result of the Zionist occupation and its escalating violations against their legitimate rights.

“Foremost of these legitimate rights are emancipation from occupation and freedom to work, move, and live a free and dignified life on their land”, the statement added.

The resistance renewed its rejection of all forms of targeting of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) by the occupation. It called on all countries to continue supporting the agency and to work to enable Palestinian refugees in their places of residence to exercise their legitimate rights, most notably the right to work.

The resistance called on international organizations and human rights and humanitarian institutions to stand up to their responsibilities and expose the crimes of the occupation against Palestinian workers, and to take action to lift the unjust siege on the Gaza Strip. It called for taking serious steps to stop the aggression and end the occupation.

The resistance called on labor movements in all countries of the world, especially workers in the transport and port sectors, not to deal with Zionist shipping companies.

The resistance stressed the need to  intensify all forms of boycott of the criminal occupation, which has been committing genocidal crimes for more than half a year against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, which constitutes an extension of its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.
