Palestinian Red Crescent Society condemns the occupation’s targeting of medical facilities and ambulances

Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stressed that the Israeli occupation’s systematic targeting of the medical facilities, ambulances, medical personnel, the wounded and the sick in Gaza Strip constitutes grave violations of international humanitarian law.

The Society condemned the occupation forces’ direct targeting of an ambulance belonging to the Red Crescent on Salah al-Din Street near the Maghazi camp in the middle of the Strip.

This targeting led to the martyrdom of 6 Palestinians including 4 members of the ambulance crew, noting that two of the martyrs were wounded and taken for urgent medical care.

The Society called on the international community and partners in the international Red Cross and Red Crescent organizations to take immediate action to protect the Society’s crews and stop the occupation forces’ targeting of civilians, including medical staff.
