Palestinian Prisoners Club: The occupation refuses to provide treatment to the prisoner, Asif Al-Rifai
The Palestinian Prisoners Club affirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities are carrying out a crime against the detainee, Asif Al-Rifai, who is suffering from cancer. They are refusing to move him to the hospital and provide necessary treatment to him, because his health condition is deteriorating continuously.
In a statement on Monday, the Club said that Al-Rifai, 20, was detained from last September, despite the fact that he had colon and gland cancer. The medical reports confirmed before Rifai’s arrest that his health condition was dangerous, and he needed urgent continuous treatment.
The club indicated that Al-Rifai has been arrested repeatedly since he was a child, and this is the fourth time he gets arrested .
The occupation authorities are holding about 600 sick detainees, 200 of whom suffer from chronic diseases, including 24 prisoners who are suffering from cancer.
