Palestinian Prisoners Authority: The list of prisoners’ deans rises to 273 prisoners

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): The number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons who joined the list of deans of prisoners during the month of August has risen to 273.

The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority said, in a statement carried by Wafa Agency, that among these prisoners there are 38 prisoners who have been detained for more than 25 years, 17 of whom have been detained for more than 30 years continuously, and there are 8 prisoners who have been detained for more than 35 years, the oldest of whom are the two prisoners, Karim and Maher Younis, who have been arrested by the occupation forces since 1983, indicated that there were 49 prisoners who had been liberated in 2011 and then re-arrested by the occupation forces in mid-2014.

The Authority called on the international legal and humanitarian institutions to immediately intervene to save the lives of the prisoners in the occupation prisons and to pressure it by all means to release them immediately and end their suffering, especially the sick.
