Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Commission warns of the deterioration of the health condition of prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid
Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission warned of the deteriorating health condition of the prisoner, Nasser Abu Hamid. It called on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation to release him.
Wafa News Agency quoted the Commission as saying in a statement on Tuesday that, the prisoner Abu Hamid, 49, who has been detained since 2002, suffers from a lung tumor and the Israeli occupation authorities refuse to provide the necessary medical care to him.
The Commission also added that, the prisoner, Abu Hamid suffers from a severe cough, weight loss, vomiting and an almost permanent rise in temperature.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including 550 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
