Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Commission warns of the deteriorating health condition of Prisoner Abu Ruomuz

The Commission for the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-prisoners Affairs has warned of further deterioration of the health condition of the Palestinian prisoner in Israeli jails Imad Abdul Khaleq Abu Rumouz as a result of the occupation’s authorities’ deliberate medical negligence and arbitrary practices towards Palestinian prisoners.

According to Wafa News Agency, the commission said that prisoner Abu Rumouz, who has been detained since 2004, has cancer and he suffers from severe pain and kidney problems. The occupation authorities refuse to provide necessary healthcare to the prisoner, exposing his life to danger.

Some 4,500 Palestinian prisoners face harsh detention conditions in the Israeli occupation jails. 1,800 of these prisoners suffer from different diseases due to the spread of epidemics and germs, while 700 others need urgent treatment, especially those suffering from cancer, kidney failure and paraplegia.
