Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Commission: 78 female prisoners face death daily in “Damoun” prison

The Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Commission warned that 78 female prisoners face death every day in Damoun prison.

The Commission explained in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, that the Israeli occupation is holding 78 female prisoners in Damoun detention center, including 60 from various areas in the West Bank, 3 from Jerusalem, 6 from the Gaza Strip, and 9 from the territories occupied in 1948.

The Commission indicated that female prisoners are suffering catastrophic conditions as a result of severe torture, deprivation of food and visits, and deliberate medical neglect-factors which cause a threat to their lives.

The Commission explained that the occupation has escalated its systematic detention operations against Palestinian women since the beginning of its aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, and the number of female detainees has reached 270, including underage, students, wives of prisoners, martyrs, and mothers, some of whom are elderly.
