Palestinian prisoner Khalil Awawda continues his open hunger strike for the twenty-fourth day in protest against the continuous Israeli occupation crimes against the prisoners.
The Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Commission stated that Awawda, who is detained in “Ofer” detention center, continues his strike for the 24th day and suffers from headaches, a constant feeling of extreme cold, nausea and difficulty in movement.
The Commission said that Awawda suffers from cartilage disease in the neck and back and needs urgent surgical work, but the occupation authorities deliberately neglect his health condition.
The Commission drew attention to the deterioration of the health of the two prisoners, Essam Zein El-Din, detained since 2006, and Ashraf Sorour, detained since 2001, who suffer from chronic skin allergies and dental problems, while the Israeli occupation refuses to provide them with the necessary treatment.
